Part-Time/On-Call Housekeeper :

Redwood Arms Motel & Properties is seeking Housekeepers to clean rooms and grounds of the property as assigned by the Head Housekeeper or other members of Management.

 

Keep Responsibilities

  • Keep work cart orderly and properly stocked at all times.

  • Inspect room linens before placing in rooms and returns below standard pieces to Housekeeping.

  • Utilize equipment, supplies and guest amenities properly.

  • Clean and sanitize guest bathrooms thoroughly.

  • Change soiled linens on beds and makes beds following the property standards.

  • Clean rooms, room furnishings, doors, windows, and other interior and exterior furnishings on premises.

  • Performs laundry duties. 

  • Maintain constant awareness of safety hazards, (i.e. broken glass, frayed electrical cords, leaks, broken locks, and suspicious persons) and reports to management if there are any safety hazards.

  • Follow through on lost and found procedures (for example anything found in rooms that are vacant must be turned into Security or Manager on Duty directly). No articles should ever be removed from occupied rooms. Absolute respect for guests' property should always be exercised.

  • Practice safety standards at all times.

  • Responsible for care of equipment.

  • Report to work on time and according to posted schedule, maintains accurate time records and follows proper standards for issuance of rooms.

  • Remain alert, courteous and helpful to the guests and co-workers at all times.

  • Perform other duties as reasonably requested by management.

 

Knowledge and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

  • Must be a citizen of this country or possess a valid work permit.

  • Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products, techniques and methods

  • Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees.

  • Must be able to work independently

  • Must be willing to work a variety of day and weekend shifts especially Sundays.  SUNDAYS is a plus. 

  • Must have working knowledge of operating cleaning equipment (Example:  Vacuum)

  • Must have physical stamina and mobility including ability to reach, kneel and bend

  • Ability to lift, push and pull required load (usually about 40lbs)

Pay starts at $11.00 a hour.
